Even as the BCCI remains undecided on the issue of Kochi’s participation as the eighth IPL 4 team, it has released the list of cricketers who will be vying for a lucrative Twenty20 contract in the coming IPL 4 season.

The five brackets of base price are as follows:
1st grade: Rs 1.84 crore
( Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh ) 1st grade: Rs 1.84 crore
2nd grade: Rs 1.3 crore
( Zaheer Khan, Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan )
3rd grade: Rs 92 lakh
( Sourav Ganguly, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Irfan Pathan, Robin Uthappa, Ashish Nehra, Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar )
4th grade: Rs 46 lakh
( domestic cricketer, cricketers who represented India since 2005 - list includes Cheteshwar Pujara, Wriddhiman Saha, Manoj Tiwary, Ashok Dinda )
5th grade: Rs 23 lakh
( Manpreet Gony, Sudeep Tyagi, Sridharan Sriram, etc. )
